I received the theme "the elephant in the room" for The Sketchbook Project. I am quite excited to have this theme. Besides my love for the actual animal, I am interested in exploring the idiom. In this entry, the metaphorical becomes the physical...the feeling of being the awkward, unspoken truth in the room, of one's presence being a physical reminder of something people may want to sweep under the rug. The pages of the sketchbook are delicate, much more suited to pencil than paint. I am considering adhering a few pages together to build up the thickness for paint.
